How to Create a License
- Navigate to softwarekey.com
- Click on "Customers" and "Login: SOLO Server Automation"
- You will see a panel like the figure below. Introduce your login credentials. If you don't have them yet, please reach out to Sohaib or Juan.
- Once you have successfully logged in, you will reach the main screen.
- For creating a new license, click on "Customers" in the top horizontal menu, and then, on "Add a New Customer".
- After that, you will see a form for introducing all the data from the customer. You should extract this data from the PO. Once you have entered everything, in the Notes field, write the Califia serial number, e.g. Califia1244.
- Finally click on "Save".
- Once the new customer is created, you will visualize the customer details panel. Below that, you will find the Licenses panel. Click on "Add License".
- In the "Add License" screen, select "Califia Simulator Perpetual License" as the product, always, even though it won't be perpetual. And then click on "Add New License".
- In the next screen, in the "Activations Left" field, put 3. And in the "Licensee Name" field, put the same Califia serial number that you put before.
- Once the license is created, click on the ID number. This will bring you to the "View License" page. Then click on "User-Defined Fields".
- In this table, click on "Edit" to be able to change its values. In "UDefChar1" you need to introduce the corresponding codes from the "Module activation codes" document. You can find it in OneDrive under Manufacturing > General > 1. Released Products > 1. Califia Perfusion Patient Simulator > 4. Manufacturing Processes > 7. Misc Docs. If you don't have access to this document, reach out to Sohaib or Juan. The way you have to put them is all the numbers separated by a ";" in this way: "4500;8200;1200;1500;4100".
- Under "UDefChar2" introduce the suppression codes, for example, the ChinaBridge products should not be available for any other customer than ChinaBridge. To supress these products, put "1003;1007;1012".
- Under "UDefDate1" introduce today's date.
- Under "UDefDate2" introduce the license end date. If it is perpetual, leave this blank.
- Leave the rest blank and click on "Submit".
- Congratulations! You have successfully created a License for a new customer.
How to Manage an Existing License/Customer
- Navigate to softwarekey.com and log in with your credentials.
- Find the customer holding the license. For that, use the "Search" option in the top horizontal menu.
- You can use any field to look for it. With using one should be enough. For example, if the customer holding the license is a Rush University, you would have to put "Rush" in the company field.
- After that, you will be shown a list of the licenses matching your search.
- Select the one you want by clicking on the Customer ID number in purple.
- Once you are in there, you can edit the customer details by clicking on "Actions" button and then "Edit".
- If you want to edit one of the licenses that the customer has (it can only be one), go to the licenses panel.
- If you want to create a new license, click on "Add License".
- If you want to edit an existing license, click on its ID number.
- Go to step 11 in the tutorial above and follow the same steps.
